Did you know that February is the month when people listen to the most sad music? This was highlighted in a 2020 study by The Economist. But at Glowbl, staying connected means staying in good spirits! We share our coffee breaks, our meetings, and even our viruses… This need for proximity is reflected in how we interact on the platform.
That’s why version 5.4 enhances this experience even further. Say goodbye to the feeling of isolation in “Expand Content” mode—now, everyone’s expressions and reactions are visible, and you can interact with emojis at any time. The result? An intact sense of group presence, even during presentations.
🔥 February Updates That Warm Things Up
🫧 See Everyone : Enhanced “Expand Content” and “Synchronized Tables” modes.
📤 Stay on Track : Download the session description sheet for reference.
💣 Handle the Unexpected : Change a participant’s role with a single click.
🖥️ Gain autonomy: simplified access to screen sharing
🫧 See everyone: the evolution of “Expand Content” and “Synchronized Tables” modes

Until now, in Expand Content display mode or Synchronized Tables animation mode, only the speakers were highlighted, which could create a sense of disconnection from the group. Now, we have enhanced the display with a new sidebar that:
✅ Shows all participants, while highlighting active speakers and displaying raised hands.
🔍 Allows bubble size adjustment, so you can see more people or better capture expressions.
💬 Provides quick access to interactions, enabling you to hover over a bubble to send a private message or view a business card.
😃 Makes emoji usage easier, with direct access from your own bubble.
This makes communication during presentations smoother, while maintaining a sense of group presence, even when the content is the main focus on the screen.
📤 Stay on track: Download the session description sheet
Remember, back in December, we introduced the detailed session sheet, providing a clear overview of a shared or upcoming activity. By downloading it, you can display it in another tab during your session and use it as a teleprompter.
We have kept the landscape format of the document and added a legend to help better understand the symbols related to participant rights and animation modes.
💣 Handling the unexpected: Change a participant’s role in the space with a single click
The Administration panel in the Participants tab is now gone! Since you can now easily assign animation roles via the Invite button, the Administration panel became redundant.
The Participants tab has been simplified, but it still offers more control over participants, allowing you to directly assign the “Animator” role by clicking on the three dots next to their name.
🖥️ Gain autonomy: Simplified access to screen sharing
Screen sharing has never been one of our preferred teaching methods… Perhaps that’s why we had it a bit hidden. However, more and more of you are now training participants on software via Glowbl and requesting screen sharing as a key feature.
To make it more accessible, we have moved it to the top of the content projection list on the blue button of the table, reducing the number of clicks needed to activate it and making access more intuitive and faster for all participants.
💡 A green reminder: Screen sharing is one of the most CO2-intensive and bandwidth-heavy activities. So maybe it’s time to bring a bit more sustainability into your virtual classrooms! 🌱🙏
Are you starting to see what’s coming? Simplified panels, streamlined options, and more accessible features… Yes, we’re preparing a major interface redesign soon!
We aim to free up space and make participant onboarding even faster and easier. So, keep an eye out… exciting updates are on the way! 🚀
