This month, our team is unveiling new features to make your experience on Glowbl easier: a brand new global menu, a new tool for taking live profile picture and configuration wizard for picture & sound!
Configuration wizard
No sound and picture? Thanks to our new connection process, you can now configure and test your microphone, webcam and sound when joining your online space!
How does it work?
1. When you join your Glowbl space for the first time, you can create your account or simply choose fast access by writing your name, then validate.
2. You’re onboarded into the configuration wizard process:
- Authorise the access to your webcam then select your preferred camera, or indicate you don’t have a webcam.
- You can take a profile picture with your webcam or upload one from your device.
- Select your audio output (computer, screen, headphones…) and test it with the player,
- Finally, choose your microphone input and check the sound.
3. You can now start your online session in peace.
Global menu
With our new global menu, browsing between your Glowbl account and your virtual spaces dashboard is easy. It’s available on any page of your Glowbl environment.
How does it work?
1. Click on the burger menu icon (3 horizontal bars) at the top left hand corner of your screen.
2. In the Spaces sub-menu, you can:
- go to your spaces dashboard or directly create a new space,
- directly create a new space.
3. In the My account sub-menu, you have access to your personal profile, security settings, your preferences and subscription information (if you signed up to an individual licence).
Automatic display modes
Is the content displayed hard to read? Do you want to enlarge it while keeping an eye on your participants’ bubbles? Your screen now automatically adjusts the view!
How does it work?
1. Click on the Focus on content icon, at the bottom right hand corner of your screen (near – and + icons).
2. The webcam panel opens instantly on the left side of your window to display your participants’ bubbles.
3. Click again on the icon at the bottom right hand corner to display bubbles again and the webcam panel will disappear.
Access requests
Do you need to join a virtual space but the link you have isn’t right or you’re not on the guests list? You can now send a real-time request to the room’s administrator. If you’re the Administrator, you will receive these requests instantly during the session.
How does it work?
1. You are at the door, click on Send join request.
2. Your request is instantly sent to the space’s administrator by a notification. They can answer it by clicking on Accept or Refuse icons.
3. Your request is accepted, you instantly enter the room without refreshing your page. If your request is denied unanswered in a 5 minutes delay, you’re blocked at the door. You can contact the room’s administrator by your own means or you can repeat the operation.
